We stopped off in Cheviot on the way to the Kaikoura and after a walk at the reserve stopped in for a bite to eat. Exceeded our expectations for fresh food and we'll presented. We thought good value.

Good service & vibes. Always smiling. Only we ordered 1 regular flat white and 1 oat flat white but they were swapped. Even I already asked what one it is. Just be mindful because some people are allergic thats why they order an alternative milk.

The coffee was delicious and the homemade scone was really tasty. We had just arrived in New Zealand after a long flight and were so tired, but the coffee and food made us really happy.

Fabulous breakfast! We had the smashed avo and the vegan breakfast. Both were beautifully presented, tasted delicious and good sized portions. Service was prompt and friendly and coffee was great too. We will be back!

A small but inviting cafe with many locals dining and helpful and pleasant staff. The soup of the day (the pumpkin soup) was filling and warm. If it had a dollop of olive oil, it would be much brighter. The sirloin half sandwich was amazing, with a tender cut of steak. The fried chicken burger was a bit dry, partially due to the use of chicken breast, but also because of the thicker batter used, which made the fry more chewie. But overall, it was decent. Finally, we got the number eight breakfast, which had a wide selection of items, with no standout but a decent portion and variety. If you are coming through Cheviot for lunch, I would recommend this cafe. They even open on Boxing Day, so that's a plus.

Cosy cafe with friendly staff. Ordered the highly raved cheese scones and eggs Benedict with salmon. The scones were heated up and served with butter. Added on coffee to-go but the staff forgot so we finished our coffee there. Cheese scones were great.
